What does bofb mean?

Bofb means “best of both”. It stands for our collection, both modern design- as classic jewelry, combined with incredible contemporary watches, and it stands for who we are: Johan Boot, a high end classic jeweller, and his partner Bertie Hamers, a goldsmith and modern jewelry designer.

RETURNS

I would like to return my order, what is your return policy?

We always want you to be happy with your purchase. If there is any reason you would like to return your order, please contact us for more information.

 

 

JEWELRY

Can I bring my old jewelry to your store?

Sometimes, an old piece of jewelry has to much emotional value to part with it, but at the same time, is never worn. Here at bofb we would love to sit down and go over the possibilities of making a new design with enough place for old memories. Repair, restore, or even recycle; an old piece can be fitted into one of our existing design (like in our double dome ring) or even in a new piece. Want to visit our store with your old jewelry? Please call or mail us to make an appointment. We look forward to seeing you in our store in Amsterdam.

If I order a piece as a gift, how can I be sure about the size?

If your order is a surprise, it is always wise to bring a similar piece of jewelry from the recipient to our store. We make our pieces to size, and with something that the wearer already owns, we can make an accurate estimation for the correct size.

If for whatever reason, it is not possible for you to bring a piece, or if the gift turns out to be a bit to small or to large: Don't panic. You are always welcome to return to our store with your jewelry after giving it; we are more than happy to make it the correct size for you afterwards. 

 

WEDDING RINGS

Do I need to make an appointment to look at wedding rings or to talk about a custom design?

While it isn't necessary to make an appointment, we do recommend it. That way, we can ensure there is enough time for us to listen to your ideas and show you all the possibilities. On this page, you can read how you can reach us to make an appointment.

 

 

WARRANTY

I'd like to order this beautiful piece, what about its warranty?

Every watch you buy in our store, has a warranty of 2 years: your receipt functions as your warranty. For the exact policy, please view our Terms & Conditions. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

I think I've made my choice, how can I pay? 

Our methods of payment are:

SHIPPING

What is the estimated time of delivery for watches and watch straps?

The watches and watch straps available on our site* are generally shipped on the first business day after the order is placed and payed for. Please keep in mind that most (Dutch) postal services only deliver between Tuesdays - Saturdays.

*It is indicated on our website if a watch or watch strap is not in stock.

What is the estimated time of delivery when I order a piece of jewelry?

Our jewelry is made in our own studio, therefore takes approximately ± 10 business days before the design is made for you and shipped. For more information, please contact us at aterlier@bofb.nl

Unfortunately, I cannot visit your store, so I'd like to order something and have it shipped to me. What are the shipping costs?

Standard delivery within the Netherlands are € 6,75,-, or € 4,10,- for uninsured envelope mail. All of our orders are sent through registered mail. Delivery is free for orders within the Netherlands from € 100,- and up.

For delivery outside the Netherlands, shipping costs may vary, your shopping cart will show the correct price when your country is filled out in the address form. 

I've seen videos on YouTube of parcel delivery gone wrong. Will my order arrive safely?

The parcel companies we work with have ensured us that our parcels are delivered with extreme care. Alongside this, we always make sure that everything we send, is wrapped up safe and secure.


Help! I might be a bit late with ordering this birthday/wedding/anniversary/graduation/surprise gift. How long do I have to wait for my order?

All of our items we have in stock, are sent within 24hr after payment. Please keep in mind that Dutch postal services only deliver from Tuesday - Saturday. Our store however, is opened on Sundays (13:00 - 16:00), so don't hestitate to hop in for some last-minute gift advice. 

I don't live in the Netherlands, how long will it take for my order to reach me?

You'll find a table will estimated delivery times per location below. We always include a track & trace code with your order. With this, you can view the exact delivery time as soon as it is known.

GIFT WRAPPING

Could you gift wrap my order, and what are the costs for this? 

We sure can. Or to be honest, we already gift wrap all of our orders anyhow, so gift wrapping is free.

I'd like to order two products, can these be wrapped separately?

Of course. Please let us know in the comment-section of your order (you will find it at "Miscellaneous details", below the address form)

But then how will I know which gift is which? 

We'll  put a small mark on one of the gifts, and let you know through e-mail so you'll know which is which.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The general conditions apply to all offers and orders. Both bofb - best of both - and the customer recognize electronic communication and will not deny its validity or legal effect based solely on the fact that the communication is electronic.


OFFER

The displayed items are not always shown in true size or true color, because each screen has different settings and color characteristics. The offers are free of obligation and available as long as stocks last. Special offers on our site are also valid as long as stocks last. We do not honor purchases at clearly incorrect prices on our website.


ORDERING

You can easily place your order via our webshop www.bofb.nl. You will receive a confirmation of your order by e-mail. After payment, the items you ordered will be shipped as soon as possible. Upon delivery of your order you will receive a proof of purchase, which also counts as a valid warranty certificate. According to European regulations, an electronically [read: online] concluded purchase, is a legally valid purchase agreement, on which a payment must follow. In the event of non-payment after a period of 21 days, the buyer will be summoned in writing, whereby € 10.00 in administration costs will be charged and the seller is obliged to collect the purchase sum plus these administrative costs by judicial means, in which case also the costs are charged to the buyer.

SHIPPING COSTS

All orders are sent with track & trace. Orders within the Netherlands for € 100.- and International for € 250,- and up will be sent through insured shipping for free. For all other orders shipping costs will be provided during the checkout process.


OWNERSHIP RETENTION

The ownership of the articles delivered by bofb - best of both - will only pass to you if you have complied with all that you owe to bofb - best or both - pursuant to any agreement. The risk with regard to the delivered items is transferred to you at the moment of delivery.


WARRANTY

All warranty provisions of the manufacturers of the items delivered by us apply in full to you as the buyer of our products. This warranty does not affect your rights that result from the law. The proof of purchase that comes with every order is also your warranty certificate.

We (bofb - best of both -) are members of the Dutch Gold and Silversmith Association (VGZ). The Dutch Gold and Silversmith Association (VGZ) is an active interest group for Dutch gold and silversmiths. The association is a branch organization that is affiliated with the Federation Gold and Silver (FGZ), the umbrella industry organization for the entrepreneurs in the gold, silver, watchmaking and precious stones sector. The VGZ also guarantees the quality of the branch through the establishment of a competent and independent complaints committee.

RETURN RIGHT - SEE RETURN DOCUMENT FOR EXTENSIVE EXPLANATION

You have the right to withdraw from online purchases. A right of withdrawal applies for all ordered products of 14 calendar days after receiving the article. During 14 calendar days you may terminate the contract without giving any reason. For that reason, you can return an item or exchange it for another product within 14 calendar days after receiving your order.

During this period, you must handle the product and the packaging with care. You should only unpack or use the product to the extent that is necessary to assess whether you wish to keep the product. If you use your right of withdrawal, you must return the product with all accessories and - if reasonably possible - in the original condition and packaging to us, in accordance with any instructions provided by us.
